I have had a few people ask me for recommendations for gluten-free Christmas recipes lately, and I realized I wasn’t even sure what I was going to make myself this year. I decided I needed to hunt down all the gluten-free recipes that are suitable for the holidays and compile them together in one place.
I broke the recipes down into four categories: “brunch”, “appetizers and side dishes”, “main dishes”, and “desserts, snacks, and more”. I wasn’t sure how many people actually sit down at breakfast for a huge feast during the holiday season, but I figured most people would find a little something that they want to make in there (either for Christmas or some time after).
Feel free to share this with anyone who is looking for some gluten-free recipes for the holiday season, either Christmas or something else. I’m sure there are non gluten-free people who have a gluten-free in-law or cousin coming to visit who have no clue what to cook for them, and hopefully this list will help them.

Sometimes I feel as if my family is the only one out there that actually enjoys fruit cake … but we can’t be, because the grocery stores are packed with them during the holidays. Fruit cake doesn’t really fit neatly into a list of gluten-free Christmas cookie recipes, but my holiday wouldn’t be complete without it. Terri Mauro, About.com’s Guide to Special Needs Children, has pulled together this list of gluten-free fruit cake recipes. Even if you don’t really like fruit cake, some of these recipes might surprise you.
